Netgear graciously accepted our request to participate in the testbed upgrade process by providing the Pro Safe GSM7352S-200, a 48-port Gigabit L3 managed switch with built-in 10 Gb E.
In the first version of the testbed, we had let the Zy Xel GS2200-24 act as a DHCP relay and configured the main router (Buffalo Air Station WZR-D1800H) to provide DHCP addresses to all the NAS units, machines and VMs connected to the switch.
After the update, I cant get the NAS to appear online in Backup Exec I have another backup software with the NAS as a backup target, and that software has no problems with the updated NAS.
The first port of the Netgear Pro Safe GSM7352S was connected to the Zy Xel switch and acts as the management port.
The switch acts as a DHCP client and gets a management IP address from the Buffalo router.

The latest Beta introduces the lightweight virtualization application Docker, a Single-Sign-On package, improved Cloud Station performances, file-based backup restoration and smart version control, improved App Armor and SMB3 encryption, the Synology Web Clipper ans to-do manager for Note Station, as well as Chromecast support for DS photo. My "problem" is that after the update, I found out that my external cabinet DX510 (attached to my DS1511 ) was activated and the respective separate RAID-5 volume on it, came up much to late. But after a very long wait, I've managed to log in using my own Admin account I created, and discovered that despite setting the default admin account as disabled, the update 2 appears to have re-enabled it. But after a very long wait, I've managed to log in using my own Admin account I created, and discovered that despite setting the default admin account as disabled, the update 2 appears to have re-enabled it. I only enable the Admin Account to do DSM Updates, yet I log in frequently as Root via SSH or SCP with no problem. I have not yet been brave enough to install Update 2, so I cannot share my own experience there. Please keep us informed as to your success (hopefully).
